We made it! After a very productive morning meeting with our Natalie DP, UPM, and Sound Mixer, on Saturday evening we rolled into Port St Lucie with our costume designer in tow. After a night of good rest (and we all needed it, after so many days on the road), we went location touring. Then, finally - our first big moment - having Kelli, our Natalie, try on the "Signature" garment for the film.

... Let's just say, it came out pretty spectacularly. We'll put up pictures very soon, but for now, stay tuned!

Hugging I-95S: Tomorrow is the big day, when Ren and I will be battling the east coast of the United States to get down to sunny Florida. Coming from Boston by train is our costume designer, Coriana Hunt Swartz, who we will be racing to pick up in West Palm Beach. At some points, I'd imagine, we'd be traveling parallel to each other.

One major detour for us will be to stop in Savannah, GA where most of the NQOS crew is coming from, to catch up on any last minute details before we trickle down to the Treasure Coast for the major push before production.

June bugs: It's here! June is here! The sky is filled with pollen and the shoot is just over a month away. We leave Thursday to start the drive down, so bags need to be packed.

Been talking about a possible switch to Super 16mm for NQOS as well as what art department needs to build sand castles and Portuguese Man-O-War - so equal parts practical and ridiculous, but both ultimately very real issues regarding the film.
